About Resilience Society

Resilience Society is a community-based organisation based in Cork, Ireland, dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and social inclusion.

We work to break the silence around mental health, challenge stigma, and support individuals through lifeโ€™s toughest transitions. Our approach is rooted in empathy, dignity, and shared experience, ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey.

Our work includes community programmes, peer support initiatives, wellness events, and awareness campaigns designed to create safe, inclusive spaces where people can connect, heal, and grow.

Through initiatives such as Resilience Runners, offline circles, and community outreach events, we empower individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and circumstances to build strength together. We also organise weekly and monthly in-person programmes, including:

  • Weekly offline circle and book reading sessions

  • Resilience Runners, meeting twice weekly for running, mindful walking, games, and fun social activities

At Resilience Society, we believe resilience isnโ€™t about enduring alone, itโ€™s about growing stronger together.

  • Feeling socially isolated or disconnected

  • Looking for peer support, community connection, and belonging

  • Interested in improving well-being through movement, mindfulness, and shared activities

We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, abilities, cultures, and circumstances. Whether someone is taking their first step toward support or simply seeking a sense of community, Resilience Society offers a safe, respectful, and inclusive space.

At Resilience Society, resilience isnโ€™t about facing challenges alone, itโ€™s about growing stronger together.

Our vision is a society where mental health is openly talked about, support is accessible, and no one feels alone in their struggles.

We envision inclusive communities where empathy replaces stigma, connection replaces isolation, and people feel empowered to care for their mental and emotional well-being.

At Resilience Society, we strive to create spaces where individuals can build resilience through shared experiences, mutual support, and meaningful community connection, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance.

By fostering understanding, compassion, and collective strength, we aim to support healthier, more connected communities where people can thrive together.
